Big I Central New York Board Update: June Highlights
Your Big I Central New York Board of Directors meets on the second Wednesday of each month (except August) to discuss the issues impacting independent insurance agents across Central New York while planning valuable resources, networking opportunities, and events for our members and industry partners.
Our Board is made up of a diverse and dedicated group of volunteers who care deeply about the insurance industry, their clients, and the communities they serve.
At the June meeting, the Board celebrated another successful Big I CNY Golf Tournament held on June 22 at Timber Banks Golf Club. Despite a rainy day on the course, spirits stayed high as golfers enjoyed a great day of camaraderie—and one lucky participant even made a hole-in-one, taking home the tournament's $15,000 cash prize!
The tournament continues to make a meaningful impact beyond the fairways. Over the past 18 years, more than $230,000 in proceeds has been donated to local charities through CNY Charities. If you have a nonprofit organization you'd like to nominate as a future beneficiary, please reach out to any Big I CNY Board member. Also, stay tuned for details on a volunteer community service project planned for October.
The Board also received an update from the website committee, which is putting the finishing touches on a refreshed Big I CNY website. The new site, scheduled to launch in August, will make it easier than ever to register for events, sponsorships, and more.
Looking ahead, save the date for the Big I CNY Legislative Breakfast on Wednesday, December 2, at Bellevue Country Club. Registration will open soon.
Until then, enjoy the beautiful summer!
