Big I Central New York Named Local Association of the Year at Go Big 2026
Big I Central New York is proud to announce that we were recognized as Local Association of the Year at the 2026 Big I New York Annual Business Meeting, held during Go Big 2026 at Turning Stone Resort Casino.
Presented each year by Big I New York, the award recognizes a local association that demonstrates exceptional commitment to its members, the independent insurance industry, and the communities it serves.
In presenting the award, Big I New York highlighted Big I CNY's outstanding work in community impact, well-attended events, an active NextGen program, and strong participation in legislative advocacy at the local, state, and national levels.
As noted during the presentation:
"All of our local associations do incredible things for the industry and their local communities. This year, one stood out for their charity and community impact, well-attended events, really active NextGen and strong legislative advocacy participation on the local level, in Albany, and in Washington, D.C. They are consistent and well-rounded, engaged, intentional, and growing."
The award was accepted by Big I CNY President Carrie Shaw alongside members of the Board of Directors during the Annual Business Meeting.
While we're honored by this recognition, the award belongs to everyone who makes Big I CNY such a vibrant organization, our volunteer leaders who generously give their time, our sponsors and partners who support our mission, and, most importantly, our members who continue to show up, participate, and strengthen the independent agency system throughout Central New York.
From educational programs and networking events to charitable giving, advocacy, and NextGen leadership, this recognition reflects the collective efforts of an engaged membership committed to making our industry stronger.
Thank you to Big I New York for this incredible honor, and thank you to every member, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make it possible. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to serve the independent insurance community across Central New York.
